Good morning to all Pridesburgers!
Well, it's a great morning! Yesterday, when I got home from work, there was a city contractor putting up a fence around the building on Lefevre street! He and his crew are cleaning it out and then the building is coming down!!!!!! Hooray! L& I came out yesterday, went into the building to assess, along with the lawyer and her team of people to see if he was compling to the court order. He has been seen taking things out, but the building was still fuill of STUFF! The contractors said it would take about two weeks to empty, then they would start taking the building down by hand. They are going to start from the top and work their way down.
Thanks to everyone out there who let me vent. It helped alot. Now, on to the next phase: making sure we get houses there and not condos! Stay tuned!

So I guess you value money more than anything else. You would matter build a bunch of homes and don't care who or what moves in as long as your values go up? this is what happened to the other neighborhoods in Philly, that's why the city is losing population and money.

You know what, you're absolutely right. Let's keep home prices low so that the people you don't want to move into your neighborhood or on to your block can afford a house. If home prices go up, either by building new homes or rehabbing the existing homes, the "ones you want to keep out" won't be able to afford them. Therefore, you get to keep your neighborhood, but what do I know?
