registration was yesterday and today. there were alot of parents there when i left today, and they were not taking anymore within the first hour of registration! i went yesterday, but they only gave me a packet to fill out at home, to return it today. when i got there this morning, they handed out numbers and you either got one, or you didn't. ya gotta move FAST to get into that school

on the first day of registration, they weren't accepting anyone new after 9:15 (registrations began at 9:00am), on the second day, few parents were there as eary as 8:00AM, I got there at 8:45 and was 15th on their list. I believe they accepted 19 people total on that day

Kindergarten is not required in the state of Pennsylvania. Bridesburg can take as few or as many kids in this class that they want to.
I understand and with this reasoning they can do away with kindergarten totally. Why not deny all children instead of just some?

they're not "denying" anyone...they have x amount of spots that they can accomodate, and that is all. maybe you can get lucky and a registered kid will end up moving or attending elsewhere in the fall

I thought registration in Bridesburg Elementary was based on birthday not first come first serve? The older kids were taken first and the younger summer ones were the ones in fear of not getting in. Rumor has it they had 40+ kids in each kindergarten class? Yikies! Unfortunately, there are no other free local options for kindergarten until Franklin Towne is built. From what I hear PJP only has 13 in the kindergarten class this year. May be an option if you can afford it.
